Usage and Indications:
Children's Panadol Suppositories are suitable for children aged 6 months to 5 years. They effectively manage pain and fever associated with teething, immunization, earache, headache, and cold & flu symptoms. These suppositories are designed to provide quick relief and are particularly helpful if your child has difficulty swallowing tablets or oral solutions due to nausea or vomiting.
Active Ingredients:
Each Children's Panadol Suppository contains 125mg of Paracetamol, a proven pain-relieving and fever-reducing ingredient.
Dosage Instructions:
- For rectal use only, not to be swallowed.
- Tear the suppository from the strip and remove the blister.
- Moistened the suppository for ease of insertion.
- Insert into the rectum as per the dosage table below.
- Use every 4-6 hours as needed.
Dosage:
- Age: 6 months - 4 years, Average Weight: 8 - 16kg, Dose: 1 (max 4 in 24 hrs)
- Age: 4 - 5 Years, Average Weight: 16 - 18 kg, Dose: 2 (max 8 in 24 hrs)
Safety Precautions and Warnings:
Before use, consult a doctor if your child has liver or kidney problems, weighs less than 8 kg or more than 18 kg. Do not use if your child is allergic to paracetamol, using other paracetamol-containing medicines, or if your child is under 2 years of age (except on medical advice). Do not use for more than 48 hours at a time (except on medical advice). Stop use and seek medical attention if your child experiences an allergic skin reaction, shortness of breath, or wheezing after taking Children's Panadol. In case of overdose, contact the Poisons Information Centre or seek medical help immediately.
