Product Description:
Pharmacy Health Paracetamol Colour Free Suspension is a trusted solution for temporary relief of fever and pain associated with teething, headache, earache, immunization, and symptoms of cold and flu. This strawberry-vanilla flavored suspension is specially formulated for children aged 1 to 5 years, and it comes with a convenient medicine measure.
Usage and Indications:
Ideal for providing temporary relief from fever and pain related to teething, headache, earache, immunization, and symptoms of cold and flu.
Active Ingredients:
Each mL contains Paracetamol 24 mg.
Dosage Instructions:
Shake the bottle well before use. Administer the suspension every 4 – 6 hours as needed, but no more than 4 times in 24 hours. It can be taken with water or fruit juice if necessary. The recommended dosages are based on body weight:
- Age 1 – 2 years: 6mL – 8mL (10 – 12kg)
- Age 2 – 3 years: 8mL – 9mL (12 – 14kg)
- Age 3 – 4 years: 9mL – 10mL (14 – 16kg)
- Age 4 – 5 years: 10mL -11mL (16 – 18kg)
For children above 18kg, dose at 15mg of paracetamol per kg of body weight.
Safety Precautions and Warnings:
- Do not give to children under 1 year.
- Adhere to the recommended dose; do not use the medicine for longer than 48 hours unless advised by a doctor.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose unless directed by a doctor.
- In case of overdose or suspicion of overdose, contact the Poisons Information Centre (Australia 13 11 26) or seek medical attention immediately, even if you feel well, to prevent potential serious liver damage.
- Avoid taking with other products containing paracetamol unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.
- Contains 7 g maltitol and 11 g sorbitol per maximum daily dose (44mL), which may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhea in some individuals.
- Contains hydroxybenzoates, saccharin & sorbates.
Storage and Shelf Life:
Store below 25ºC. Do not use if the neck seal is torn or broken. Keep the child-resistant cap engaged by tightening it and then turning it backwards until a clicking sound is heard.
