Periactin tablets are a reliable solution for providing relief from the symptoms of hay fever and various allergies. These tablets effectively reduce the discomfort associated with allergies, including runny or blocked noses, sneezing, and itchy or watery eyes. Additionally, Periactin helps alleviate itchiness resulting from skin conditions such as rash, hives, dermatitis, eczema, mild reactions to insect bites, and chickenpox.

 

Usage and Indications:
Periactin is ideal for managing the symptoms of hay fever, an allergic reaction to pollen that typically affects the mouth, nose, eyes, and throat. Common symptoms include sneezing, coughing, runny or blocked noses, itchy and watery eyes, itchy throat, mouth, nose, and ears, as well as headaches and fatigue.

 

Active Ingredients:

  • Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride
  • Maize (Corn) Starch
  • Pregelatinized Maize (Corn) Starch
  • Calcium Phosphate
  • Lactose
  • Magnesium Stearate

 

Dosage Instructions:

  • For Children aged 2-6 years: Take ½ a tablet 2-3 times a day, with an additional dose at bedtime if necessary. Do not exceed 3 tablets per day.
  • For Children aged 7-14 years: Take 1 tablet 2-3 times a day, with an optional extra dose at bedtime if needed. Do not exceed 4 tablets per day.
  • For Adults and children over 14 years: Begin with 1 tablet 3 times a day, and increase to 4 tablets if necessary. Do not take more than 8 tablets per day.

 

Safety Precautions and Warnings:

  • Do not take Periactin if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients.
  • Avoid Periactin if you are using Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors for depression.
  • Do not use if you have a narrowing of the stomach opening or glaucoma.
