Usage and Indications:
Difflam Sugar-Free Lozenges provide temporary relief from sore throat, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, mouth ulcers, swelling, redness, and inflammatory conditions. Ideal for pain following mouth or throat surgery, and dental procedures. Adults and children aged 6 years and above can benefit from these lozenges. Not recommended for children under 6 years.
Active Ingredients:
Each lozenge contains Benzydamine hydrochloride (3.0mg), Lidocaine (Lignocaine) hydrochloride monohydrate (4.0mg), and Dichlorobenzyl alcohol (1.2mg).
Dosage Instructions:
For adults and children aged 6 years & over: Take 1 lozenge every 2-3 hours as needed, with a maximum of 12 lozenges per day. Let the lozenge dissolve slowly in your mouth, without chewing.
Safety Precautions and Warnings:
- Do not use if blister seal is broken or past the expiry date.
- Avoid if allergic to benzydamine or other anti-inflammatory medicines. Discontinue use and seek medical help if an allergic reaction occurs.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if pregnant or likely to become pregnant.
- Keep out of reach of children. Not suitable for children under 6 years.
- Avoid consuming hot food or drink immediately after using the lozenges due to the anaesthetic effect.
- Efficacy of antibacterial agent in reducing throat infections hasn't been clinically established.
- If symptoms persist, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
- Uninterrupted treatment should not exceed 7 days unless under medical supervision.
- Contains Sucralose, Isomalt (31g per 12 lozenges, recommended maximum daily dose). Excessive consumption may cause a laxative effect or diarrhea.
